The 2m x 4.5m (6'6" x 15" approx) Poly-tunnel is manufactured from weather resistant galvanised steel (25mm or 1" diameter frame) to protect against the elements and add extra rigidity. The Polytunnel cover is manufatured from rip-stop, UV resistant, reinforced Polyethylene which adds superior strength over other similar and less quality Poly Tunnels on the market. The covering is tough, durable, waterproof and rot proof.
As with all our poly tunnels, this product is uniquely fitted with added 25mm ground bars to complete the rigidity of the structure. This Poly Tunnel comes complete with a "Fixing Kit" which includes ground anchorage brackets and 30cm anchorage stakes. Anchorage stakes give as rigid a fixing as possible - only fixing into concrete is a more effective alternative (which is far superior to using guy ropes). Diagonal bracing bars on two of the bays, add strength to the overall structure allowing it to keep firm and reduce twisting in the wind.
This item comes complete with Polytunnel Flooring. A fantastic new addtion to the range! This low cost protective flooring is manufactured from Black 400g gauge polythene sheeting with 100mu micron. This flooring is excellent value for money, waterproof and it is extremely good against weed control (you can have safe piece of mind by reducing the effect of weeds on your plantation pots and crops). The flooring for the 2m x 4.5m Poly-tunnel has a total area of 18m2 and is supplied as 1 "Cut to Size" 2m width sheet.
The 2m x 4.5m Poly Tunnel comes with a heavy duty anchorage kit. However, if you feel the need for extra anchorage/stability that can help against adverse conditions we do stock an additional heavy duty anchorage kit as an accessory. Overall, the poly-tunnel provides a perfect shelter in which to grow fantastic crops. With this there is no need to buy from grocers not knowing how fresh or edible the fruit and veg is - grow your own and produce fresh veg with a crisper taste to complete meals such as salads, soups or broths; and fresh fruit which can be used on breakfast cereal instead of freeze-dried substitutes.
